A burglar may have hidden in a Nashville retailer all night before smashing a jewelry case, police said.
The incident was reported around 4:30 a.m. Wednesday at a Kmart on Donelson Pike.

Metro Nashville Police officers said there were no signs of forced entry. They believe the suspect hid out in the store all night.
Two alarms sounded, included the one at the exit and on the jewelry case. It’s unclear at this point if anything was taken.
A witness reported seeing a man leave and get into black vehicle.
Police were working on interview that person and reviewing surveillance video.
