Metro Nashville Police are looking into whether a man arrested for an armed robbery at an Antioch gas station, could be connected to other recent robberies.
Officers were called to the Mapco Express on Bell Road, near Mt. View Road at about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Investigators said the man entered the business with a bandana covering his face. When he got inside, the suspect locked the front door to the business.
The cashier told police the suspect demanded cash from her.
However, a witness walking outside the store at the time noticed something was wrong, and immediately called 911.
Police were able to get to the Mapco quickly. As they arrived, police said the cashier ran out of the business. Officers found the suspect hiding behind the counter, and he was arrested. Police said they recovered a gun from the scene.
