A police chase involving a stolen car that started in South Nashville ended after the driver crashed in Berry Hill.
The incident began before 1:30 a.m. Sunday. Officers said they tried to pull the car over near Nolensville Pike where it meets 2nd Avenue South after they ran its plates and it came back as stolen.
The driver lost control and crashed about a mile and a half away at the intersection of White Avenue and Inverness Avenue.
The male driver got out and ran away. Police said they were not able to catch him.
Authorities did take a juvenile who was also in the car into custody. Further details were not immediately available.
