Police in Tennessee continue fighting against skimmers set up to steal your credit card info without you knowing it.
The problem of skimmers attached to card readers is nothing new -- but the technology that scammers use is constantly changing.
Some now use Bluetooth technology where the scammers sit nearby -- collecting credit card info as it gets swiped. But there are tools that can help you, including downloadable skimmer detector apps -- that scan the area for Bluetooth signals that a skimmer might be using.
But police say always inspecting the card reader before you use it is the most important.
