Police said a drunk driver drove through a crash scene, nearly hitting an officer and then tried to escape during a brief chase.
The incident happened at the scene of a two-car wreck on Neelys Bend Road in Nashville.
According to an affidavit from Metro Nashville Police, officers working the crash had to dodge the suspect who refused to stop and drove right through the scene.
They gave chase and eventually caught the suspect when he wrecked his car.
The suspect allegedly had an open can of beer in the cup holder, and was driving on a revoked license.
He’s also been charged with assault on an officer.
