ALVATON, Ky. – Deputies have caught the 18-year-old they said drove away without paying for the gas he pumped at a Warren County gas station.
It happened at the Boyce General Store around 10:30 Friday morning.
Deputies said Caleb Hagan of Bowling Green, Kentucky admitted to pumping gas into the car he was driving, and leaving without paying for it.
Investigators were able to identify the passenger in the car, which led them to Hagan, who was cooperative and confessed to the theft.
The investigating deputy will file a charge on Hagan next week for Theft by Unlawful Taking or Disp- Gasoline Under $500.
