NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Police have released the identity of the man fatally shot in Edgehill Monday night.
Officials with Metro police said 34-year-old Henry Arthur Wilson III died after an altercation with another person turned physical. A suspect has not yet been identified.
The incident happened shortly after 7:30 p.m. at The Park at Hillside, located in the 1500 block of Hillside Avenue.
Witnesses told police they saw Wilson arguing with the gunman shortly before the shooting. A struggle ensued and Wilson was shot once.
He was taken to an area hospital where he died. Police said he was known to stay with a friend at the complex.
The suspect fled the scene in a blue Dodge Charger. He was described as a short black male wearing a Raiders jersey.
