Police identify and arrest suspect in connection with fentanyl-heroin distribution

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WTVF) — The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has arrested a suspect in connection with their investigation into the rising frequency of drug overdoses involving heroin and fentanyl in Middle Tennessee.

Reginald T. Womack, 32, was taken into custody after their investigation identified him as one of the distributors of the potentially deadly drug combination of fentanyl-laced heroin.

Womack was arrested on Friday afternoon and charged with one count of Manufacturing/Delivery/Sale/Possession of Schedule I.

He has been booked into the Rutherford County Jail on a $175,000 bond.
