FRANKLIN, Tenn. – A motorcyclist was killed in a crash after swerving to miss a deer.
Police said the wreck happened in the 1200 block of Liberty Pike just before 2:30 a.m. Saturday.
Authorities said 30-year-old Brian Burns was found conscious on the ground near a ditch when emergency crews arrived on scene. He told officers he lost control of his motorcycle after swerving to miss a deer.
Officials said Burns was taken to the hospital where he later died.
According to police, alcohol did not appear to be a factor.
