Police identify man who allegedly injured one person in a shooting in Opry Mills mall

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Metro Nashville Police officials have identified the man they say is responsible for the shooting at Opry Mills Mall Wednesday night.

Juwan Gaines, 19, has been charged with attempted murder, felony reckless endangerment, and using a gun in the commission of a dangerous felony.

Hermitage Precinct detectives, the MNPD’s Gang Unit and the Juvenile Crime Task Force have been working to find him since he allegedly opened fire inside the mall, sending one person to the hospital in critical condition.

Police say Gaines is still on the run. He is last known to have lived in Wilson County. Anyone who may see him or knows where he is was asked to call Nashville Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
