CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Police said they were actively working a crash involving a motorcycle and another vehicle in Montgomery County.
Officers said the two collided head-on at the intersection of Trenton Road and Sequoia Lane Sunday afternoon.
According to a preliminary investigation, officials believed the motorcyclist, identified as 28-year-old Michael Smith, crossed into oncoming traffic and hit a Ford F150 head-on.
Authorities said Smith was taken to Skyline Medical Center with critical injuries.
Officials asked motorists to avoid that area while they investigated the scene as traffic came to a standstill. The road opened about 90 minutes after the crash.
Police said no charges had been filed, and they were awaiting the results of a toxicology report.
