NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Metro Nashville Police officers arrested and charged an 18-year-old girl after she allegedly shot and killed her father Monday in Antioch.

Police say Trynity Meadows shot her father 49-year-old Otis Meadows inside their family home on the 2800 block of Pinebrook Trail.

Trynity's 29-year-old brother called police. He said he heard shots then found his dad lying near the front door. He told officers he then saw his sister outside running away.

She was quickly arrested, but officials said she refused to speak with detectives.

They say home surveillance video after the shooting shows Trynity at the front door holding a handgun just before running away, but the gun was not found.

There have been two reports of domestic disputes involving Trynity and her father in which Trynity is listed as the suspect.

In April, officers responded to the home after a heated verbal argument. In November 2019, officers were told the teen had been throwing items around the house for no apparent reason. There were no injuries reported in either incident.
