Homeowner shot during Hendersonville burglary

HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Police say two suspects were arrested after a homeowner was shot during a burglary in Hendersonville.

Officers responded to a burglary call in the area of Colonial Drive Tuesday just before 5:30 p.m.

Hendersonville Police said the two suspects entered through an enclosed porch and tried to get into the main portion of the home. The homeowner saw them and was shot as they tried to force their way inside. Police said the victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Two suspects, identified as 37-year-old Stephen Clark and 34-year-old Jennifer Zemba, were arrested a short time later after a crash on Fairfield Road in Bethpage.

Police say they were both charged with attempted murder and aggravated burglary.
