NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Metro Nashville Police officials are investigating a shooting in Old Hickory. A man suffered critical injuries and was rushed to the hospital.
Officers said the shooting happened at about 10:00p.m. Monday at a home on Scenic View Drive. Investigators said two men got into an argument outside of a home and shots were fired. The victim was shot in the chest.
According to police, the victim drove away from the scene and stopped at the Rollins Market to call police for help. Officers and paramedics responded and the victim was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with critical injuries.
Around the time officers responded to the market, they said the shooter called police and reported what he had did. He claimed he shot the victim in self-defense.
No arrests have been made.
