Metro Nashville police investigated two armed robberies that happened within a few hours and miles of each other in Hermitage.

The first happened at a Kwik Sak Tobacco and Beer Store in the 3800 block of Old Hickory Boulevard, just south of Lakeshore Drive. At about 9:30p.m. Tuesday, investigators said a man walked in, pointed a gun at the clerk, and demanded cash. The suspect left in a white sedan.

Just a short time later at 12:10 a.m. Wednesday, officers were called to the Shell gas station in the 5800 block of Old Hickory Road, which is located just south of the I-40 on-ramp in Hermitage.

The clerk told police a man pointed a pistol at him and demanded cash from the register. The clerk said the gunman got away in a white Honda sedan.

No one was injured in either incident.

The two locations are just 5.2 miles apart from each other.
