NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Metro Nashville Police officers are investigating a deadly shootout in North Nashville.
Police say the exchange of gunfire led to the death of 21-year-old William R. Summers Jr. was shot and killed on the 1900 block of Salem Mason Drive Tuesday afternoon.
It's not clear what led to the shooting, but Summers was in a verbal argument with at least one person before shots rang out, according to witnesses.
The suspects were described as two black men, one with short twists in his hair. North Precinct detectives are conducting interviews and working to determine a motive.
