NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on Friday night in Nashville.
Quinzell Pannell Jr. 23, was driving his Rnage Rover when he crashed into a utility pole at 17th Avenue North at Hayes Street.
According to a witness who was driving the opposite direction of the Range Rover, they heard a loud 'pop' as the vehicle passed by them and then crashed.
Police say that Pannell died at the scene.
Two handguns and a small amount of marijuana were recovered from Pannell's vehicle.
Evidence shows that the gun was fired inside the car.
Two male passengers have been interviewed about what occurred.
The investigation is ongoing.
