95-year-old woman found alive after falling into ravine

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A Silver Alert for a 95-year-old woman has been canceled after police found her in a wooded area near her home.

Metro Nashville Police said Waurine Winters, of Millersville, was last seen at her home on Mansker Drive on Saturday night.

When her son went to check on her Sunday at 6 p.m., she was gone.

Shortly after 1 a.m. Monday, investigators said Winters had been found after falling 50 feet into a ravine near Mansker Creek.

Her exact condition was unknown but police said she was talking to emergency responders while waiting for an ambulance.
