COOPERTOWN, Tenn. (WTVF) — Coopertown police said a 20-year-old Chapmansboro man was found with child pornography on his phone after he was caught meeting up with a teenage boy.
According to police, officers received a report of a suspicious vehicle, leading them to find 20-year-old Kendall Brook Bells and a 15-year-old boy.
The two met through social media and the teen told police Bell was aware he was 15 years old prior to meeting with him.
Bell was arrested and charged with attempted mitigated statutory rape, then later released on bond.
Detectives obtained a warrant to search Bell's phone, where they discovered multiple photos and videos of child pornography.
On Monday, he was arrested again and charged with sexual exploitation of a minor.
