NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Metro Nashville police say a man has died in a workplace accident.
Police said in a statement that 44-year-old Arnold L. Russell died Monday around noon while working at Southland Brick and Block. The statement says Russell was operating equipment that sorts block and it appears that he leaned over into a danger zone. Police say he was crushed as the machine pushed the block to another conveyor belt.
Although his co-workers provided first aid, police say Russell died at the scene.
