CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Police have asked the public’s help in locating a suspect who allegedly struck a woman while fleeing a gas station in a stolen car.

The incident happened around 10:30 a.m. Thursday at a Kroger gas station on Lowes Drive in Clarksville.

Clarksville police said the suspect was refueling the stolen truck when he had a verbal altercation with the attendant.

As he was leaving, he allegedly struck a 59-year-old woman and fled the scene. Her legs and hips were hit by the vehicle but she was conscious and talking when she was taken to Tennova Medical Center.

Police said the truck -- a red Dodge mega cab 4x4 2500 with Tennessee tag 53H1822 -- had been stolen from a farm property on Dunlop Lane.
