NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A man died from his injuries on Wednesday after he was found shot in south Nashville Tuesday night.

Metro police said the victim was found around 9 p.m. on First Avenue S. and Mildred Shute Avenue with a gunshot wound to his torso.

He has been identified as 18-year-old Lindsey T. Lumpkin.

Police said Lumpkin was shot outside a Shell market on Lebanon Pike earlier in the night. There was an argument in the parking lot between people in two vehicles that resulted in the shooting. Lumpkin was then dumped onto the ground at the intersection where he was found.

Detectives are now working to identify those involved in the shooting. If you have any information, contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
