MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WTVF) — Murfreesboro Police officers arrested a man they say stabbed his own uncle to death.
Carmen De La Cruz was arrested in the killing of Gregorio Zetino on Monday.
Police say the two were arguing when the stabbing happened in a home on the 1800 block of Fowler Street around 12:45 a.m. Cruz allegedly left the home in a 2006 Ford Explorer but crashed it on Sherrill Boulevard, where police say he took off running.
A Murfreesboro Police Department K-9 tracked him to an apartment complex on Dill Lane where he was arrested.
Zetino was pronounced dead at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital. Cruz is being held on a $200,000 bond at the Rutherford County Detention Center.
