Police were able to catch a would-be burglar after he allegedly tried to break into a Madison business.
The incident happened overnight Monday at Trade Winds Discount Tobacco and Beer on Gallatin Pike North.
The suspect reportedly tried to break in the backdoor, setting off the alarm.
Metro police officers were just around the corner on another call and made it to the scene in a matter of minutes.
The suspect was booked at the Davidson County Jail. His name was not known.
