Police respond after rash of robberies target Nashville's Hispanic community

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A recent rash of robberies has targeted Nashville's Hispanic community, and Metro Police are doing what they can to help their neighbors.

Officers have responded to several robberies, primarily at four apartment complexes in South Nashville near the Williamson county line: Audubon, Stonebrooke, Bradford Woods Apartments, and The Flats of Nolensville.

In each case, officials say masked gunmen got in through back sliding glass doors that are often unlocked.

Recently, officers visited those complexes and distributed wooden strips with 911 painted on them for people to use to secure their back doors. back doors. Officers also handed out bilingual information pamphlets with safely tips.
