Quick thinking by Metro police officers likely saved a man's life after he was shot at an Antioch soccer field.
The incident happened around 11 p.m. Tuesday at the soccer complex located on Antioch Pike.
Officers said the victim was sitting in his car when four men approached the vehicle and opened fire. He was shot in the hand, leg and torso.

The suspects drove off in a white Honda Accord toward Bell Road immediately after the shooting.

Officers at the scene wrapped a tourniquet around the victim's gunshot wounds and took him to an area hospital.
Doctors said the officers' quick response likely saved the man's life.
The victim remained in the hospital Wednesday morning with serious injuries.
The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
