Detectives with the Metro Nashville Police Department have asked for the public’s help in finding a person of interest in a 2015 murder.
They said Jhonquis Compton, 18, is a person of interest in an April 2015 homicide.
Compton was accused in the January 14 beating of a 59-year-old man inside a convenience store at 1509 Dr. D.B. Todd Boulevard.
A group of young men were standing outside the market and reportedly got into a verbal argument with the victim over where he parked his car.
Compton followed the victim inside where he punched him in the head. The victim was knocked unconscious and sustained a laceration to his face and broken jaw.
Compton is also being sought as a person of interest for the April 2015 fatal shooting of John Sykes, 33, in Edgehill Homes.
