NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Metro Nashville Police is searching for a 19-year-old who is wanted for allegedly shooting and killing his father.

Police officials say Anthony Rivera shot his father Henry Rivera at their family home on Anderson Road Wednesday afternoon. A warrant has been issued for Anthony, charging him with criminal homicide. Police are considering armed and dangerous.

According to MNPD investigators, 42-year-old Henry Rivera confronted his son Anthony about stealing money from his mother. A witness told police that during the argument, Anthony pulled a gun and shot Henry in the neck.

He died shortly after arriving at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

MNPD officials say Rivera is also a suspect in an armed robbery of Carniceria Dominguez store on the 2500 block of Murfreesboro Pike Tuesday night.
