Police search for people with information in Nashville murder

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Metro Nashville Police detectives asked for the public's help in their search for persons of interest in a murder case.

A housekeeper found the victim Friday inside a room of the Hickerson Motel at 2514 Nolensville Pike. The victim was identified through fingerprints as 44-year-old Ruben Garcia-Cortes. Garcia-Cortes suffered stab wounds. His next of kin in La Vergne was notified.

Detectives are working to identify two men who are believed to have information about the murder. One man is linked to a small two-door white car. The other is linked to a small black car.

Anyone recognizing one or both men was asked to call at 615-742-7463.
