The search for a suspect got underway after a man was shot multiple times near Madison Park.
The shooting call was reported in the 500 block of North Dupont Avenue around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Officials with Metro Nashville Police said one person was shot multiple times, and believed to have suffered life-threatening injuries.
Investigators focused much of their time on that car left at the stop sign at Dupont and Delaware Avenues.
The victim was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Officers said they were searching for a black Kia SUV and a black male wearing lime green shorts.
