An investigation got underway overnight after a man was fatally wounded in a Hermitage shooting.
Officers with Metro Nashville Police responded to the Pine Brook Apartments on Hickory Hill Lane around 10:20 p.m. Wednesday.
According to responding officials, the victim, identified as 32-year-old Michael J. Moran, was found lying in a parking lot with gunshot wounds in his torso and leg.
Moran was rushed to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he died.
Police were working to provide a suspect description.
According to reports, Moran was allegedly meeting a drug dealer.
Witnesses said they saw a black, four-door vehicle leave the scene shortly after the shooting.
