Police Search For Teen Youth Facility Runaway

Police ask for the public's help in their search for a teen who escaped a Knoxville youth facility and allegedly stole three cars.

Kendontez La Donus Woodland Murray is believed to be on his way to Nashville.

Murray was with two other juveniles who ran away from the facility in the Knoxville area. They allegedly stole a vehicle in Roane County which they used to get to Cookeville.

Cookeville Police Department officers arrested the other two juveniles at 1:30 a.m. Monday, but Murray got away.

About two hours later, officers were notified of an attempted vehicle theft at 12th Street and North Willow Avenue. During the attempted theft, the suspect, believed to be Murray, crashed the vehicle and fled on foot.

At about 4 a.m., a white 2008 Chrysler PT Cruiser was reported stolen in the area of 1900 North Willow Avenue. Also believed to be taken by Murray. The white PT Cruiser may have visible rear end damage.

Murray was described as standing 5 ft. 10 inches tall, 175 lbs., and wearing a white t-shirt and blue shorts. He may be armed with a handgun.

He may be headed to the Nashville area in the white 2008 PT Cruiser.
