Police have asked for the public’s help in finding a man believed to be responsible for stealing money from a Mapco where he was employed.
Officers have issued arrest warrants against Dante Ferguson for forgery and theft.
Police said Ferguson, while and employee in 2014 at Mapco, 465 Donelson Pike, was involved in stealing more than $2,000 and attempted to cash a burglary victim’s check at a local bank.
Last month, checks were stolen during a residential burglary on Amberwood Circle. Ferguson was identified as the man who attempted to cash one of them.
He was suspected in at least three additional West Nashville home break-ins.
At the time of the Amberwood Circle burglary, Ferguson was free on $3,500 bond after his March 2015 arrest for taking a battery from his former employer, Advanced Auto Parts on Donelson Pike.
Police asked anyone who knows where Ferguson would be to call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
