NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — In the second homicide of the year in Nashville, a man died after being shot during an apparent armed robbery in East Nashville.
The victim has been identified as 32-year-old Broderick Porter-Baugh.
Porter-Baugh, his girlfriend, and four children arrived at their residence on Saturday night. Two gunmen approached the car and demanded money.
One of the gunmen then forced Porter-Baugh's girlfriend and the children inside the home at gunpoint while the other remained outside with the victim.
After a bit of time passed, Porter-Baugh's girlfriend reported hearing a gunshot, after which both suspects fled in the victim's vehicle, a 2012 white GMC Terrain. This vehicle was later located unoccupied on Adlai Street.
Porter-Baugh was shot in the leg and was transported to Skyline Medical Center where he later died.
The suspects are described as young men one with should-length dreadlocks. They were both wearing camouflage cloth over their faces.
