Police searching for possible witnesses in deadly South Nashville shooting

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Metro Nashville Police detectives asked for the public's help in their efforts to identify and find two men who may have information on a deadly, South Nashville shooting.

Police say 43-year-old Zedric Douglas was killed in the shooting and 53-year-old Stanley Wyatt Jr. is still in critical condition.

Officers found the men lying near Douglas’ Dodge Charger which was parked and running on Maury Street with its lights flashing. Both men were transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where Douglas died and Wyatt remains in critical condition. A handgun was found near the driver's side of the Charger.

Police say two men and three vehicles left the area after the murder. They're hoping anyone with information on the men or vehicles will call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.

The vehicles were a white car, a silver car and a grey Dodge Charger (not the victim’s car) left the area after the murder.
