Police searching for named suspect in Sunday morning shooting in Millersville

MILLERSVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A 30-year-old man has died after being shot early on Sunday morning. Now, police say they have identified the shooter.

The victim, 30-year-old Toron M. Thomas Jr. of Clarksvilles was shot around 10 a.m. on Bethel Road near the I-65 north on-ramp.

The suspect is has been identified as 20-year-old Ollie James Thomas of Statesville, North Carolina.

Currently there are warrants for the suspect on the following charges: First Degree Homicide, Attempted Homicide (x2), Especially Aggravated Robbery, Aggravated Robbery, Theft of Motor Vehicle, Theft over $1,000, and Theft under $1,000 (x2).

Police say Ollie Thomas fled the scene in a 2013 white Jeep Laredo with Tennessee tag and a license plate reading 867M8. This vehicle was last seen heading south on I-65 towards Nashville.

Anyone with information about this shooting or who sees the suspect's vehicle is encouraged to contact police immediately.

The suspect is considered to be armed and dangerous.
