Police apprehended three individuals Sunday morning and have charged them with the death of Brodie Wilkinson III.
Around 1:00 a.m., investigators from the Robertson County Sheriff's Office apprehended Daniel Blake Scott, 28, Darick A. Hinerman, 25, and Jennifer Henning, 23. Investigators said they were charged with criminal homicide and held at the Robertson County Detention Facility.
On Saturday, Springfield police said they responded to an accident on Highway 76 and Possum Trot Rd. in Robertson County.
Initially it was considered a crash investigation, but later said it was being investigated as a homicide investigation. With the arrest, police announced this was a shooting death.
The victim is 22-year-old Brodie Wilkinson III.
Police said a dark-colored, four-door Jeep and a white, four-door Charger were seen in the area.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the Wilkinson family,” said Sheriff Michael Van Dyke. “I am proud of our Sheriff’s Office team for apprehending these suspects quickly and removing them from the streets.”
