NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Metro police have asked the public’s help in identifying a suspect who they say fired shots that almost hit an innocent bystander in a parking lot.

The shooting happened on Oct. 23 at a Roma’s Pizza on Clarksville Pike. Metro police released a surveillance photo of the suspect on Thursday, saying he got out of a silver sedan and entered the restaurant.

At some point, he saw the car being driven away. Police say he ran from the restaurant and fired towards the car – narrowly missing a woman who was sitting in her vehicle. She was treated for cuts caused by shattered glass.

It’s unclear why the suspect fired shots, according to police.

He’s described as being six feet tall and approximately 180 pounds. Police say he was with a woman at the time.

Anyone who recognizes him or the woman was asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and qualify for a cash reward.
