NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A woman was arrested in Nashville after allegedly pulling a knife on a child at a playground.

The alleged incident happened Sunday at a playground at the CWA apartment complex on Shelby Avenue.

According to an affidavit from Metro Nashville police, Ruby Nation admitted to smoking crack and demanding money from a child at the playground. That child denied it to her, at which point Nation pretended to pull out a knife.

When she was denied again, police said she pulled out a kitchen knife. The child then threw a basketball at her face and ran to his mom.

Nation hid the knife but a nearby relative told police about it before she was taken into custody. Police said Nation argued that the juvenile is the one that injured her.

She was charged with several offenses, including aggravated robbery and criminal trespassing.
