A gubernatorial poll from Middle Tennessee State University showed that a former Nashville mayor, Karl Dean, is leading the Democratic charge.
The poll released Tuesday said Karl Dean was the top Democrat in the gubernatorial race. That same poll showed no one has established a clear lead in the Republican race.
As for the race for U.S. Senator Bob Corker's soon-to-be vacant seat, Congressman Marsha Blackburn led the Republican side while the poll showed former Tennessee Governor Phil Bredesen would be winning the Democratic side if he decides to enter the race.
