A portion of Interstate 24 along the east bank in Nashville was closed for a weekend project.
The closure began Friday at 8 p.m. and was set to reopen Monday at 6 a.m. at the latest.
Tennessee Department of Transportation officials said they needed to finish the project that began in the fall on two bridges.
