Thousands of Nashville Electric Service customers were without power due to a opossum that found its way into equipment.
Nearly 3,000 customers lost electricity Wednesday night.
NES officials said the opossum "wandered into our equipment and caused the outage."
Crews were able to restore power in less than an hour.
