The Postmaster General made a stop in Nashville to speak at the country's largest mailing industry conference at the Gaylord Opryland Resort.

Megan Brennan is the 74th Postmaster General of the United States. At the conference, she talked about innovation, technology and, of course, mail.

Brennan said that, like everything else in modern life, the postal service should also be part of a daily digital experience, which is why they have introduced Informed Delivery.

Informed Delivery is a service where customers will receive pictures of their mail on their smartphone before it is even delivered

“We're leveraging all of the intelligence associated with the last mile of delivery to provide you with visibility all the way to the door. That's customer value,” she said.

Brennan started her 29-year career with the Postal Service as a letter carrier in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
