Pregnant woman shot near Hadley Park; suspect sought, police say

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A pregnant woman was shot near Hadley Park on Tuesday morning.

Metro police said 23-year-old Tiffany Barrett was grazed in the stomach and struck in the leg as she stood on her front porch on 28th Avenue North. She is expected to be OK.

The shooting happened on the corner of 28th Avenue N. and Herman Street.

Police are searching and have an attempted murder warrant out for for the suspect, 24-year-old Gerald Hardy Jr.

Police officials say Hardy's girlfriend allegedly owes Barrett money for babysitting and the issue led to the shooting.

After the shooting, Hardy and his girlfriend fled to South Nashville. Officers found her and the vehicle but are continuing to search for Hardy. Anyone with information on where he could be was asked to call CrimeStoppers at 615-742-7463.
