FRANKLIN, Tenn. (WTVF) — A prisoner escaped from the custody of Fairview police officers, but the Williamson County Sheriff's Office later reported that he had been recaptured.
Officials warned residents in the area about the escapee, who had last been seen on foot at 1:15 p.m. Tuesday on Beasley Drive. He escaped while en-route to the Williamson County Jail.
The name of the person was not released but police described him as a white male with long hair, wearing black jeans and a dark shirt.
Police said he tried to steal a truck while on the loose. Williamson County Sheriff's deputies made the arrest.
