A Cheatham County PTO Treasurer admitted to stealing money from the organization.
State investigators said Beth Christie used money from the West Cheatham Elementary PTO for personal expenses.
The state Comptroller said she took more than $7,000 from December 2012 through May 2014.
Comptroller investigators found that she withheld thousands of dollars in cash fundraiser collections from deposit into the PTO bank account. Ms. Christie also kept $800 that she withdrew using the organization’s ATM/debit card.
