Nashville publicist Kirt Webster was awarded "Publicist of the Year" by PR News on Tuesday amid alleged sexual misconduct violations from within his firm, Webster PR.

The award was announced at a luncheon in Washington D.C. at the National Press Club, and it was unclear whether Webster was at the awards when they were given.

NewsChannel 5 reached out to PR News about the award and whether they were aware of the sexual misconduct violations, but we have not received a response.

PR News did retweet NewsChannel 5 Jesse Knutson's tweet about the award being given to Webster amid sexual misconduct violations, but it has since been removed from their Twitter account.

Webster PR formerly represented clients such as Dolly Parton, Kid Rock, Charlie Daniels, and many others.
