Posted

Several crashes have been reported as heavy rain moved through Nashville during the morning commute.

Rain began moving through the area overnight and caused headaches for drivers across the area.

At least three crashes were reported on eastbound Interstate 24. Lanes were blocked near Briley Parkway after a car spun out and crashed.

Another collision caused delays at Blair Boulevard and 21st Avenue after a semi driver backed into a pole at a gas station.

In Mt. Juliet, a crash shut down Central Pike between Adams Lane and Mt. Juliet Road. One person had to be extricated from a vehicle after it left the roadway and struck a tree.
