Remains Found During Search For Missing White Co. Woman

WHITE COUNTY, Tenn. – Remains have been found during the search for a missing woman in White County.

The White County Sheriff's Office said remains were found Wednesday in the wooded area of Doe Creek during an expanded search for Kelly Sue Reightler.

The remains have been sent to the Medical Examiner's office in Nashville to make a positive identification. A cause of death was not immediately known.

Reightler left her home on North Star Road on Bon Air Mountain in the early morning hours of February 16 and had not been seen since. Her family reported her missing on February 19, saying she did not have her medications.

The family offered a $5,000 reward for information.
