BRENTWOOD, Tenn. - Officials with the Brentwood Police Department have issued a reminder to the public to move over when emergency vehicles are stopped on the side of the road or when they’re blocking traffic.
On Saturday, authorities said two officers had been helping a driver with a disabled vehicle on Interstate 65 overnight when their vehicles were hit.
The wreck involved a suspected drunk driver. Thankfully, authorities confirmed the officers were not injured.
On social media, they said, “We can replace cars, but we can’t replace lives.”
